baby massage

Okay, so I gotta stand on a lil soap box and rattle on about it because I never knew about it with Rhett.

I really love it. Maisie and I have this special time together. It really only takes 10 min to do. We have this awesome all natural lavender lotion we use and I set up the area heater by her changing table so she doesn't get cold. I sing songs- look her in the eyes and bond. We took a class 2 months ago n the basement of our library and learned all the techniques from a certified baby massage lady. It was through this group (another linkie)

Anyhow- major praise to this. And again, I do my own thing. I sing her my own songs nad talk to her about what I am doing to her foot- arm etc... I figure body parts language development lol. But she loves it and I really enjoy that time as well. I don't get a lot on one on one time with my kids. When Rhett is around he kinda steals the show since he can be so damn demanding. So this is girl time.

Daddy actually does this with the Brettster after baths and before bed with the nighttime lavender baby lotion. it relaxes brett for bed and moisturized DH's nasty hands! Baths, massage and BM bottle before bed is DADDY AND BRETT TIME.

It's soo nice and i bet feels gooood! wish i could have a massage like that!

I do this with Zoë after her bath, she really likes it and she has such dry skin that the lotion really helps with that.

I do infant massage after Maxie's baths too. I use "California Baby Overtired and Cranky" Massage oil.

Jess I am so glad you posted the constipation massage. I did it at every diaper change yesterday. It didn't work immediately, but it did work after a few hours! We are using Burts Bee's Baby Oil.

I do this with Gabriella after her bath. She loves it!!!
