Close to bedtime naps?
How close to bedtime do you usually let your LO nap?
Lauren has been napping late lately. She barely naps all day (it's a struggle) so by 5:30pm she wants to take a longer nap. I've been waking her up after an hour (by 6:30pm or so) but I'm not sure if that's the right thing to do. She goes to bed around 8:30pm so that's 2 hours before bed. I hate waking her, I always feel so bad, but I'm really afraid of how long she'll nap and how it will affect her sleeping at night...
Anyone's LO do this?

Re: Close to bedtime naps?
Mine does.... in fact she just tried to tonight around 7:45pm when she goes to bed at 8:30. I just took her upstairs and put her to bed early. I think, you're doing the right thing by waking her up, or else she'd have a rough time falling asleep later.

Jackson takes late naps. He will take a nap at 7:30 or 8 and goes to bed at 10. He occasionally naps as late as 8:30. These naps are usually only about a half hour long though.
