Afraid of the dark?
No, not Layla. LOL!!! Deztyni is...I think.
Well....since the 4th and all the fireworks going off when we got home, she was so scared to be in her room. The 4th and the next 2 nights, she slept with us b/c she was SO scared.
Now...she will sleep in her room, BUT she has to have her little nightstand lamp on AND the large light. When she falls asleep, I go in and turn them off, BUT if she wakes she will get up and turn them both back on.
Do you think she's afraid of the dark? OR it's something else to do with the fireworks? I'm wondering how long this will go on? Layla is still in the bassinet in our room, but I do not want to transition her into Deztyni's room yet b/c she'll wake if the light is on. Not sure WHAT to do!?

Re: Afraid of the dark?
My cousins were afraid of the dark, so I bought them those glow in the dark stars... they loved them, and since they could only see them when the lights were out, they had to have the lights off.
Just a thought to help transition her back to a light free room.
They also make nightlights that make a star pattern on the walls and ceiling if you don't want to deal with sticking stars everywhere.

Aww poor thing
I think the night lights that make little shapes or stars is a great idea!

Re: Afraid of the dark?
this may sound silly b/c of her age but have you "talked" with her about it? mention the fireworks or mention how little sister will be moving in to see if she says anything?
I hope it is just a little phase that she gets out of! In the meantime I guess you should enjoy your new bed buddy
